PSA's 1st 2009 Newsletter! Yay!

Hellooo from the 2009 PSA EBoard!

Okies. so let's get introductions out of the way, shall we? My name is Raven Baldwin and I'm PSA's 2009 Secretary. I'll be in charge of keeping all of you lovely people informed on the going on's of PSA...the upcoming events, meetings, activities and quiet possibly, some crazy parties.

If, by chance, you did not give out your address to get PSA emails, then just go to the home page www.osupsa.org and unsubscribe yourself or just let me know and I'll do it.

However, if you did happen to go to OSU's Involvement Fair and you did happen to meet our very friendly EBoard and you did happen to give them your address, then this email is definitely in the right inbox! Yay!

In that case, then you were also probably invited to PSA's first meeting, as described on our flyer, "Welcome! PSA Meet & Greet'. Told you our EBoard is very friendly.

Anyhoo, if you were able to come to the meeting Wednesday, then you were also able to enjoy some yummy homemade chicken adobo! Made by our very own President, Jennifer Luu. (Snaps, lady!)

No worries, if you missed it, though. There will be plenty of fun meetings in the weeks to come.

I'll just run through things we went over as a review and a reminder.

Upcoming Social Event ~ Capture the Flag!
When - Friday, Sept 25th
Where - Meet in front of the Thompson Statue at the entrance of the Main Library
Time - 6pm
(This will be a chance to meet the other Asian student organizations of Ohio State, so come out and have fun!)

Upcoming Meeting ~ Game Night!
When - Wednesday, Sept 30th
Where - Mendenhall rm191
Time - 7:30pm
(It'll be a mix of Filipino games, regular board games, snacks and lots of friendly competition! You're more than welcome to bring your own games, too.)

Upcoming Community Event ~ Barrio Fiesta!
When - Friday, Oct 16th
Where - Hale Activity Center
Time - 6:30pm
(Barrio Fiesta is one of PSA's biggest events. It is a celebration of our Filipino culture. Not only can you see traditional and modern dancing, eat traditional food, but you can also meet other Filipino students from different state colleges! Bring your family and friends!)

Oh my, I hope that wasn't too much to take in! This was my first newsletter, so I hope it came out okies.

Lol, if it was confusing or if you want more details/information on anything, then you can email me at RavieByrd@gmail.com!

Hope to meet and see everyone soon! ~ Raven
