Tagalog course work in Foreign Languages

187

My name is Gerry Sadorra, I'm a Filipino-American student at OSU-Marion. I was extremely surprised to learn that OSU does not offer Tagalog in their Foreign Languages course work. Has PSA ever requested or pushed for the Tagalog language to be made an option at OSU? I would be very interested in hearing any information on PSA's attempts or information regarding OSU's reasoning.

  • A group of individuals will meet at least once a month to discuss issues affecting Filipinos in the United States. Each discussion will we led by a moderator and individuals will take turns speaking when called upon by the moderator. To ensure that everyone at the discussion has a chance to voice their opinions a time limit per response should be set by the moderator.

  • Coffee House has been booked for  February 6, 2009.  Its gonna be in Hitchcock Hall 131 and I booked the room for 5-10 PM to give us ample times to pick up stuff, set up, and clean.

  • During Spring Quarter 1997, little did the few student leaders representing just six international student organizations realize that their initiative to cook some chicken, vegetables and rice would evolve to be one of Ohio State’s most popular and well attended campus programs that celebrates the university’s international life and diversity.

  • I am the co-chair of Scottish Corners Elementary School's Multicultural Week. This is our third year of hosting a full week devoted to learning about the countries of the world.  This year our event takes place from January 20 -January 23rd at our school located in Dublin.
